Working for Food and Accommodation.

p { margin-bottom: 0.1in; line-height: 120%; } Working for Food and Accommodation.

Does anyone know the rules in Switzerland regarding this?
In other countries it is very common for travellers to work at a hostel or a bar a few hours a day for a bed and a meal. It makes travelling more affordable and fun.

But when I try find out about this in Switzerland I get very mixed replies.

Re: Working for Food and Accommodation.

I assume you mean a working holiday visa. That doesn't exist generally the way it does in other countries.

There's a program with Canada/for Canadian citizens (aged 18-30 or 35) though. And of course technically, EU/EFTA (some exceptions) citizens can live and work in Switzerland without restrictions.

That being said, as it's not a very common thing here, I'm guessing there's not a massive number of "work for food/room" opportunities available to begin with. Others might know more about where to find such jobs.
