Working 6 months in Switzerland and getting Work Permit

I think im in a peculiar situation, i would like to get some feedback from you.
I m working on switzerland since January 2015. I have an Agreement with my boss that i work here 6 months and 1 day and 6 months outside.
I had residence with someone here, but around 15 days ago she moved to Bern. And im without a Residence here in Zurich. Now my issue is that my work is besides being 6 months out of the country. The 6 months i'm here i spend them travelling around the country. So Renting a house is something that really does not fit my kind of life. Im trying to find someone in my conections that can give me an adress here in Zurich just to give continue working here, I will not live there so, and even my letters i went to post to get them to be sent to my company headquartes.
Is there any other way to do this ? I just want to be registered somewhere. I contact the Imigration dep. and they told me to go to the gemeind and see if they accept an hotel registration. Cause there are some who do. I'm out of Ideas

Re: Working 6 months in Switzerland and getting Work Permit

Firstly, do you actually have a permit to work here? I ask because you say "getting Work Permit" in the thread title which suggests you haven't had one since you arrived here.

Secondly, if you do have a permit, beware that you can only be out of the country for a maximum of 6 months before your permit becomes invalid, assuming you have a B permit. The limit is only 3 months with an L. So you're cutting it close being half in and half out of the country.

Thirdly, easiest if you have a permit, is to rent a room via www.wgzimmer.ch or similar.

Then just get somewhere via wgzimmer, etc. Should be acceptable for registration purposes. Or look down in the Properties Offered section of the Marketplace here on the forum for any rooms for rent.
