Can't find my Permit

Hey there,
I can't find my B permit anywhere, I must have dropped it or something...
anyone knows the implication?
Will the issue me a new one easily or something nuts here in Switzerland?

(They really could make the bloody permit in a credit card rather than a silly booklet)

When do you renew? Look for it between now and when you renew and you'll likely find it.

Replacement comes at a reasonable cost. Not extortion. I "lost" a permit a few years ago and it turned up - and I did not need it between "losing" it and "finding" it

What's the cost? so that I can psychologically ready?? Are we talking in hundreds or thousands?
... and I wasn't referring Egyptians liras...

I seem to remember an ex losing hers and paying about 10 over the cost of the normal permit.
