Change of Commune - Convocation de permis ???

Hello all

I am a bit worried because of a letter I have received today.

I recently changed commune, from Lausanne to Morges. I went to the foreign office in Morges to register and I deregistered from Lausanne.

Today I have received a weird letter which mentions:

"retrait de votre permis de séjour convocation

Nous avons recu ce jour votre permis de la part du service cantonal di sectuer etrangers.

Vous etes prie de vous presenter a notre bureau ..

pour:

retirer votre permis "

Does that mean that I lost or something happened with my residence permit?? Or it is just to give back the old one and receive the new?

I am really worried at that point!

You normally visit the old office first, and then register at the new office. They probably want your old permit back before issuing a new one.

Re: Change of Commune - Convocation de permis ???

Thank you for the reply.

Well basically I did them with one day difference. I hope it is this, because I can't see any reason to be withdrawn completely.

It is permit B, with 4,5 years left till expiry and I jsut changed commune :/

I would appreciate if somebody has any similar experience, so that I will not be in stress the whole night

It means that they've received your new permit from the migration office and you should go there to collect it.
Nothing to be worried about.

Retirer votre permis means to collect from them. You'll probably have to pay and not all communes take card payments so best take some cash with you.
