Lost Titre de Sejour Card

Does anyone know what the procedure is to get a new Titre de Sejour Card. I have misplaced mine and need a new one. I have a copy of it at least.

And does anyone know if it is compulsory to show it to customs when you re-enter Switzerland? I'll be travelling for the next couple of weeks and wondering if I will have trouble on my way back home.

Swiss Authorities Online (ch.ch) has advice on reporting a lost residence permit and obtaining a new one:

Re: Lost Titre de Sejour Card

When I lost my wallet (with the permit), the police gave me a special letter to be given to my commune. There was some fee associated with this.

I don't know about customs, but I've always had to show my permit to the immigration when re-entering Switzerland (except for the very first time- it was a Visa D) via the airports. Never (so far) by road or rail.

I would suggest that you contact your commune soon to figure out a solution.
