Trainee contract

Hi All,

I am here in Switzerland, Zurich area since the beginning of the year. I am Italian and am 42 years old. I am without job since the end of August 2014 and for this reason I am registered to RAV.

I have just received a proposal for a Trainee contract.

Can someone explain me how does it work: salary, period of work, holiday etc. What I have to do now? and what will happen to my permit (L)?

Thank you for all the information you will provide me

I didn't understand your question. What is the offer you received? Did you negotiate the salary?

Re: Trainee contract

How does it work the trainee contract? I have not found any information about it

Which are the next step that I have to take with the RAV?

Furhermore hey are going to offer me 2000 chf, and it is not possible to negotiate. It seams that this is the trainee standard contract. They said me also that maybe I should have some more money from the RAV. Is it that right?

Having now the permit L with this kind of contract do you believe that i will receive the permit B?

Re: Trainee contract

A contract is a contract, all those details should be in it. "Trainee" is just a job title.

As a trainee you can expect less pay and probably a shorter notice period, and maybe a deadline when you can expect to become (or must become) a non-trainee, but apart from that it's no different.

Unless you're talking about an apprenticeship (Lehre), which is a bit different.
