Deregistered too soon

I have deregistered too soon (31.03.16). It seems that RAV are unwilling to now issue me with a U2 to export RAV benefit to an EU country. I accept that I should have done this before deregistering and leaving.

I assume that although I have my B Permit in my hand, it is no longer valid. If I can't export the RAV benefit then I will be forced to return and then request a U2 (properly) before deregistering again. Is that possible?

Re: Deregistered too soon

No, having deregistered your permit is now invalid.

I would ask your gemeinde/cantonal migration office if it's possible for you to take up your permit again for a little while. Then you could return and sort the RAV side out possibly. You'd need to talk to RAV first though to see if they would allow this. If not, then you'll have wasted your time and money coming back here for nothing.

This means that you no longer have a B permit and that you are no longer a resident of Switzerland.

Technically speaking, you would need to apply for a new permit (including the permission to take up work), register, and then talk to the RAV - as the RAV only work with residents of Switzerland.

Unless the migration authorities tweak things left and right ... that was it. Sorry.

There is a chance that your destination location of residence (i.e. EU) will acknowledge that you did work in Switzerland and apply the times worked here to the destination location unemployment benefit scheme. For that, though, you need to become eligible for unemployment benefits in your destination location.
