Cooling-off period for B permit ?

Dear All,

Need some quick advise .

Background: IT professional, Non-EU, earlier stay of 3 years.
I was on B-permit when I left Zurich in Jan 2016.
Now company wants me to travel again to Zurich for 9 months starting Nov-16.

Q1. Is there a cooling off period ?. If not any official URL which mentions this.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cooling-off period for B permit ?

as far as i know, every Non EU that deregisters after having a residence permit of atleast 12 months (L or B) has to wait for 12 months before your employer can apply for another residence permit. but i think you are ok there. you say that you have left in Jaunary 2016 and expect to return in November 2016, so thats almost a year.

however, please check other posts that say that the quota for Non EU permits is exhausted for this year in several cantons including Zurich and Geneva. so even if your employer makes an application now, it may only be approved at the beginning of next year, say January.

cheers

Just out of interest, how did you manage to get 2 red blobs with only 16 posts?

As to your question, only the Migrationsamt can tell you this. Your employer should apply for the permit and they will then be told if you get one.
