| | | Zurich C Permit - can I move to Schwyz?
Hi,
I am currently working and living in Zurich, have Permit C (Australian citizen, 7 years here , got C earlier due to that new integration law)
Would like to move to Pfäffikon for tax reasons. Does anyone know how difficult and cumbersome it is to change Permit C from one canton to another? Do I have to go through the whole application process again? Are they likely to refuse? I did call Migrationsamt in SChwyz, but they can only talk to me next Tuesday! And in my experience the information one gets from those offices is not very reliable. Would be great to hear of first hand experinces!
Many thanks in adavance, guys!
Mascha

I was told I couldn't apply for a c-permit last Dec since being Australian I need to be here 10 years or married to someone who has had a c-permit for 5 years.
I don't believe there are any restrictions on canton for c permit holders.
I found the laws online and I am going to apply for my C Permit this week :-) Thanks

vorzeitige Erteilung Niederlassungsbewilligung
you will see that different cantons describe the procedure http://www.zug.ch/behoerden/sicherhe...ngsbewilligung
You need to collect a pile of documents, it worked for me within a month or two
Good luck!

You may be required to wait an additional year or two before being allowed to apply, check the canton you're planning to move to about their rules.

Schwyz has 5 years min requirement, so if I move now - I should have almost no delays. Some cantons have 12 years! |

Someone posted a link to a list that specified the time requirements. Does anyone have that list / link?

interestingly, SZ is the only canton with i.d.R. (in der Regel) which means it is not fixed that it must be 5 years. I feel an interesting experiment coming on |

And Pfaeeffichherreheae sounds like something that'd make your bum itch! |

Hi I'm actually in the process of getting my CH pass now, although i'm on the accelerated path due to being married to a Swiss.
I live in ZH and am seriously thinking of moving to SZ, will I also have problems here? I don't really want to wait another 5 years.......
However the docuementation that i've received seem to suggest that this is a bund thing, and not cantonal.
Thanks.
Phil.

Phil. | | | | | Facilitated naturalisation is handled at a Federal level. Cantonal requirements don't apply in that respect.
