As I recall, there's something involving an upstairs window and a bedsheet, but I'm not entirely sure that the procedure is.

Would you like me to check for you?

Should he has to apply for the B permit or it comes automatically.
He should report to the local Gemeinde or Kreisbüro.

Life insurance might be a good idea..

One would expect that after marriage he would have a permanent address..

Re: what one should do after marriage in switzerland?

When I was married in Switzerland (my husband's Swiss), the B permit application was completed by the office that married us, and submitted with the paperwork after the wedding ceremony.

If you are getting married in Switzerland, then the foreign partner will first need to get an L permit, which is issued more or less when you file the application for marriage.

There are many threads on good divorce lawyers, just use the search function.

Re: what one should do after marriage in switzerland?

You need to apply for your B-permit, after you have your marriage certificate.

Your insurances shouldn't change, unless you both have any separate insurances, that could now be combined as you are living together. Health insurance won't change as that is personal, but you will need to notify them of your address change.

You will need the same address as your wife (permanent or not) or your relationship won't be believed and hence no B permit.

Sorry about the necro, not John_H's fault. Thread was revived by an inappropriate advertisement, and that post has been removed.
