| | | Do you want a Swiss Passport?
Hello,
My name's Matteo and I am a Swiss Citizen. I came to Los Angeles four months ago to study English and right now, I want to stay here for a long time, but, you know, US immgration law is very strict so, the only one thing that I can do to resolve my problem is getting married with an American Citizen.
So, I am looking for a wife that is interested to get a Swiss Permanent Visa.
If you are interested, we can talk about it, feel free to contact me. I am young (19) and an easy going person.
Mail address: email removed
Thank you.
Matteo.

Green card lottery, actually apply for a green card, have a company need you so much that they will sponsor you for a green card....
It's not your only option and you think they don't cotton onto these scams?

So you're looking for an American woman to help you stay in the US, by using a forum based in Switzerland, used mostly by people who live in Switzerland. Where else have you tried?

You might have missed that the laws have been continously restricted over the past years to put the kibosh on the practice of "paper marriages".
Your "wife" would not be granted a permament visa unless both of you don't live togheter in matrimonial cohabitation ("eheliche Gemeinschaft" how to better say that in english?), that means, both of you live in the same flat IN Switzerland.
Otherwise, there is no legal cause for the authority to issue your wife a B-permit. And apart from a B-permit I can't imagine what you mean by a permament visa.
Sorry for my bad english.

You missed the point: our your stud from Lugano is so bowled over by California where he is just now that he wants to stay there. The best way of achieving this, he thinks, is to marry an American. Quite why he is posting to a forum in Switzerland is a confusion to all...

teo does not seem confused at all. It must be those rose-coloured glasses and his love of Governer Arnie |

Also, the Americans don't just hand out Green Cards to individuals that are only married for this purpose.
Why don't you apply to a community college or something?! You can get a student visa that way, but you do need to prove you're interested in completing the program. You're basically guaranteed entry -- CC's accept everyone. If you want a challenge, why not apply to a UC like UCLA, UC Berkley, UC Santa Barbara or somewhere along those lines? One of my friends is currently getting an MA at Santa Barbara, and the school is *full* of non-residents. He has three roommates -- one is German and two are Chinese.
p.s. My Swiss wife was able to get residency in the US for a year by studying. We did not want to get married for another year and found this to be the best solution.

I think teo probably has seen Point Break and has decided that's the life for him? To be the next Johnny Utah?
edit: give him his dues, at least he got his post into the right section (as we don't have a "Will Marry For Passport" section) |
