Hi all, I'm a US citizen and L permit holder who is getting married in the states in April. I probably should have thought of this earlier but my question is: Can my fiance apply for a visa before we are married or must she wait until after? Also, can she come over as a tourist after we are married and then go back to get the visa, or can she get it here? I've tried at least 4-5 times to talk to the consulate in Zurich but I keep getting the same message. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks,

When she picks up her visa, she will have to pick it up outside of Switzerland.
I picked mine up in Stuttgart. At that point, she can enter Switzerland as a resident,
and she will have to register with the local community. Upon registering, she will
receive the same permit as you.

A fiancé Visa? This question, I am not so sure about.
