Tricky situation

Hi,
Myself, Girlfriend and her daughter are looking to move to CH.
We've been over quite a few times and would all like to make it our permanent home.
Looking to maybe stay near Geneva or Lausanne area
I can secure a contract or permy job fairly easily.
Girlfriend would like to be able to work or open small business.
Problem is I have UK passport, daughter has UK passport, Girlfriend has a Thai passport with UK permanent residence. We have been living together for about 4 years.
Can we all live together and what permit will we need.
Will there be a problem with G/F staying or working or will she be able to get the same permit as me ?
Or is it only Married couples that get this ?

Schools are the next biggy question I have.
Our Daughter is 8 but has only been in an English school for 2 years. Although she has made amazing progress from speaking no English and has now caughtup with the class.
I'm planning to send her to an International/English school.
I noticed a lot of schools have an entrance exam which is a bit of a concern. Anyone have experience of this ?
I'm concened that If I send her to a local school she'll have the language to overcome so soon. As French will be her 4th Language.

Any advice would be gratefully received
Thanks

Re: Tricky situation

Sorry, I can't answer on the first question, but as for schools, all of the international schools in Geneva that I've come across have been non-selective. They may well ask for the last 2 years of school reports which is no biggie.
Seriously don't worry about the schooling issues - Geneva is so transient that there are always places coming up.I simply advise you to do a VERY thorough research and find the school that you fell will best suit your
daughter.

Feel free to e-mail me via my profile on the subject, I'd be happy to help
