Can somebody help with this question please?

My work permit expired in March. My company applied for an extension and got one. I also submitted my L permit to the local Kreisbüro for renewal, but still haven't heard anything yet (they say it takes anything from 2 to 6 months now).

Meanwhile, a local company has offered my spouse a job and is willing to apply for a work permit for her. She, being a dependent L permit holder also submitted her dependent permit to the Kreisbüro in March.

My question is whether it is possible to apply for a work permit for her even while her dependent L permit is under renewal? Does anybody have some experience in such cases?

did you got response to this post or found any other process to convert dependent L permit to work permit

In order to get a work permit with an L permit, the prospect employer has to demonstrate that no resource in Switzerland nor EU could be found and you are highly specialized on that field, otherwise is not possible, on the other hand by having a B permit will remove this restriction and the employer does not have to demonstrate this.

The OP has left CH to India way back in end March 2010 upon the expiry of his permit.
