Hello all, has anyone gone through the process of obtaining a B permit this year? I got one back in 1999 left in 2004 now coming back again. When I got my first one I just went to the Swiss consulate in Vancouver Canada with a letter from the Swiss “office for migration” handed that in with my passport. They took that and stuck a Swiss document on one page of my passport and that was it in and out 10-15 minutes. Was awhile ago but I do not remember any problems receiving the B permit once here. Going through the process again but this time someone from work told me I will need to fill out an “Application for a Schengen Visa” and submit it with my “entry permit letter” I received from the migration office. Has anyone had to do that, submit also an application for schengen visa? Have to leave the country and I have my letter from migration so off to Stuttgart early next week. Not much time left and only have internet at work (cablecom at home another story
) have been checking as many threads here as I can but found nothing related to this, any help would be appreciated.
