Permit C for my child

Can anyone knows some information if We can apply for a Permit C for our baby.
She is born here in Switzerland. I am from Philippines, with Permit B and her daddy is a German with Permit C. We are not married but living together.
My baby got a German passport. She has a permit B expiring on April. The Community sent us the forms for renewing the permits. My partner wants to get a Permit C for her this time.
Hope you can help me to know some information on this matter.
Thanks and have a nice day to all!

Re: Permit C for Gelly

Our child got a C permit right away. I'm non EU with a C permit (dad), and Mom is EU with a B permit.

Sounds like you should have no problem getting her a C.

We used to call ours Noodle...She was so tall and skiny .
I think she is entitled permit C since her Dad holds one. But I am not sure.

Yes, just that we tried to ask a new forms to the community for Pemit C attaching all the supporting documents of her being a German. Acknowledgment of fathership and Change of Family name from my surname to that of her father.
Yet the community send an email saying that it is not possible for we are not married.
That's the reason why I went to this forum so I can have more information.

I understand the difference, after some years of having C permit one is entitled to CH citizenship, if I am not mistaken (plus a child born here and being schooled certain amount of years). While the next step from permit B would be to Permit C, so if Gelly gets Permit C now she skips an unecessary step.

I still think Gelly should get Permit C since her father holds one, irrespective of marriage. They will tell you more at a cantonal center for Population Control, or whatever it is called in your neck of the woods.

Re: Permit C for my child

We also had to call up a Vaud cantonal headquarters about couple of the laws, since our local commune had no idea. The cantonal center is better informed. I would advise you to call them instead of rellying on the local authorities.

I am not worried actually. But we are just thinking that it will save money too, if we apply for a longer and not a yearly permit.

Besides I guess the community's reply maybe wrong.

I also would like to add that she did not have yet her German pass before and she applied her permit as Non EU.

Yes that's true it can save problems on the permits and other legal issues yet it will generate more problems that will much be harder to tackle.
Not for me at the moment
