G permit

Does my G permit allow me to leave the country every 2 weeks (to France) to visit family?

Re: G permit

One of the conditions of a G permit (non-resident worker) is that you leave CH at least weekly to return to your normal place of residence.

If your location is Central Switzerland how come you hold a cross border G permit?

Re: G permit

Since 1 June 2007 there are no longer border zones for the G permit.
You may reside anywhere in the 15 core EU states and work anywhere in Switzerland as long as you return home at least once a week.

That only applies to old EU, EFTA, and a couple of others. It does not apply to Canadians. I can't think of any reason the distinction would still be there, but it is.

Re: G permit

You're right. I hadn't seen that the OP was Canadian.
