anyone gotten a spousal L permit converted to a working L permit?

I'm here on an L permit (Ticino was out of B permits) with a 2 year renewable contract, and my partner is here as well, with an L permit - his "scopo del soggiorno" / "Aufenthaltszweck" says that he's here to accompany me.

We're both non-EU (US), and our original plan was for both of us to work. But the original plan sort of assumed we would get B permits. In fact, I didn't even think it was possible for a spouse to get an L permit. But here we are, as they say.

Is anyone else in the same situation? Is it possible to convert a spousal L permit into one which allows work? Or do we have to keep playing 'wheel of fortune' with the B permit quotas until I manage to get one?

Also you can work with a L permit the meaning of the this permit is temporary permit but also some people have only L for a least 1 year. Just ask them or even you can look this on your permit.

Yes, it is possible to work with an L permit. First your partner will need to find a job for himself and his employer will have to apply for his work permit. He will be able to start work once his work permit has been approved by the canton.
