Re: NON EU- C permit in 5 years

When my B converted to a C, I received a B renewal form as well. They sent me a C (I'm also a US citizen). This was in Basel Stadt.

Re: NON EU- C permit in 5 years

Hi,

If me and my family are not from EU, US, CA, AU, NZ, and we're living in CH > 5 years, can we apply for the C permit partially, i.e., for example, only my child and my wife but not myself?
Also as I know we need to prove our integration, i.e., speak German,French or Italian, have positive references from neighbors etc. If for example my wife fits these requirements but I still don't (for example, can't speak the language well) can we get C permits together or partially?

Thank you!

Don't know if this could help, but i just received the renewal application for my permit B (Non EU, third level country), i were actually married to a Swiss and separated 1 year ago, i were expecting a B renewal, but they told me that this time i will need to wait bit longer as they're changing it to C, not sure if this was because i were married to a Swiss or because of my integration.

Until i get hold of it in my hand, i won't even consider i'm having a C permit.

Let the wait start

Re: NON EU- C permit in 5 years

I've heard that as a Non-EU, non-1stWorld in order to get the C permit for integration reasons (after 5 years) it was required to live those 5 years in the same canton. I've been here for 4 years, and that means that if I change canton I would have to start over to get the C permit.

Does anyone know if that's true? Can you share your experiences changing cantons and requesting the C permit?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I've gone through most C permit related threads and found nothing.

Re: NON EU- C permit in 5 years

Hi All,
Is there anyone who has had an experience of filing for a C-permit as a Non EU/NOn US/ Canada in 5 years and in Basel?

I am trying to figure out what are the exact documents required but cannot find them anywhere? If there is a link someone can share, I would be grateful

Thanks!

Go to the Gemeinde and ask them. I think the process is the same regardless of which land you came from.

It is good if you have proof of German skills. I showed them
my ZOP certificate, and it certainly helped.
