Dear all,
First of all hello to everyone! I am new to this forum

I am a Swiss national and my husband is brazilian. We have been married for 3 years.
He has been doing studies at an online university and has had some temporay jobs for the past 6 months.
Last week he has received a letter from the "commune/gemeinde" in order to renew his B residence permit. We went to the commune and the person there asked whether he is working. He mentioned then that my husband's employer (temp agency in his case) needs to fill out the section regarding my husband's employment (on the permit renewal form). He also asked whether the employer had applied for a work permit called "Demande de permis de séjour avec activité lucrative (Formulaire 1350)" in the canton Vaud, which he hasn't. Apparently this is mandatory and needs to be done by the employer which we didn't know. Not any of his past employers (all temp agencies) have ever asked or done anything about this "form 1350" in order to apply for a work permit.
We know that by being married he will get the work permit right away and without complications, but we're kinda worried that when he asks his employer about that form that he might lose his job until the work permit is received. On the 1350 it says the person is not allowed to engage in a work relationship until the permit has been issued.
Has anyone been in the same situation or does anyone have any advice?
Many thanks in advance for any response
Stephanie
