If you can secure a new job before you resign, there should be no issue. I switiched jobs some 5 months before moving from a B to a C (non-EU).

Bah, was just rejected for my C permit. I was told that by marrying my Swiss husband, my "clock" for being in Switzerland was reset. So, instead of being here for five years, I've only been here for three.

Funny, as I've had the same job, moved over here with the guy I married, and I SWEAR I've been here for five years.

Guess not.

For such a conservative country, the laws are very anti-marriage.

Yes, this would definitely count as being anti-marriage. I was anti-marriage, but wanted to protect my children, who were potentially going to be hurt by the fact that I was here on a non-EU work permit.

Who would have thought that it would have come back to bite me in the rump?
