Wow, I didn't know that! Is it because of the taxes? Otherwise I would have thought you can do your online work from anywhere as officially you work in the country where your employer is registered...

Yes. This is an issue with online workers. But, that's whole other can of worms. & I'm not getting into it!

Thank you, that's good to know. Not that I've ever done anything of the sort but it's good I didn't accept online offers back in Hungary with the prospect of working from Switzerland. Fortunately the money would have been close to nothing translated to Swiss standards, so I dropped the project. Otherwise I'd be infringing rules I didn't know about. Which is no excuse, I know. I'll definitely look through all the info on employment and immigration lawyers here on EF once I have my permit. There's much I don't know 'bout law, apparently...
