brand new to this forum, though not to Switzerland. Have had a B permit for 5 years ans was thinking that I would get C (am EU 15 national); but when I recently moved to a different Kanton the immigration service send me a new B permit. Now I don't mind having one, but what's the score: I've been told it's better (i.e. cheaper) to pay tax at source and to hold on to your B permit as long as possible, and I've heard the exact opposite (get a C and pay less tax). Now - what are your experiences?? And is there actually any advantage these days of having a C rather than B if you're EU?

Well then try punching the search string I mentioned( 'tax source permit' ) into the search box for something more useful.

So try using the search function yourself? Or will you wait until someone works out how to pass search variables in the link?

just about to get my B permit. Gemeinde have written and i will be on Tax Tarrif A (as opposed to B,C,D). What does that mean? anyone know thanks
