Declaration of Guarantee - where can I get it from?

Hi EF Members,

I need to invite my mother to visit Switzerland and am employed by a reputed company here in Zurich.

I am just 2 months old in Zurich and need to invite and sponsor my mother's visit. The visa document requirements also mention a letter of declaration of Guarantee of 30000.- stating that I will cover the cost of the foreign national here.

Does anyone have any information on this?

I wanted to know how and where I could get this letter of declaration from authorized or what is the process of getting one.

Many thanks for your time.
BR

I think your mum must ask for this when she applies for a visa

From yourself . You write a letter stating that you will finance your mother's stay. Include bank accounts statements and/or salary statements in support of the letter. Your mother then presents this along with the visa application.

Many thanks for your response on this. I thought so , but as stated earlier because I am quite new, I do not have the funds stated in my Switzerland bank account as of now.

Will it be fine if I mention in the guarantee letter that I am on an unlimited contract here and have funds in an account in another country? Will that be sufficient as a guarantee?

Re: Declaration of Guarantee - where can I get it from?

Hello there

When we invited our family members here we sent our salary slips and the account statements here in Switzerland and also the statements of the accounts we hold in our country.

The applicants were also asked to show some financial proof for which they showed their bank statements.

We dint have that amout(30000 CHF)in our account(obviously)But then there was no problem for them to get the visitor's visa.I think the authorities will just check whether you have enough salary and a constatnt flow of it to support.

We sent them the employment contract too.

Hope it helps.

Good Luck

Are you processing Visitor visa? for how long? Not required declaration of 30000. My wife came here on visitors visa for 3 months. I have not declared any Guarantee. You need to provide Invitation letter to Visa Officer while applying for Visa. and yes need to show Accoun balance of 100 CHF per day.( for 90 days you need balance of 9000 CHF in your bank account).

I hope this is useful.

Cheers,
Sandy

The embassy would give it to her once she submits the application. This is what happnened when i invited my father. He mailed it ot me,i filled it and sent it to the locale commune office to be processed. They checked and gave a green signal to embassy to issue visa
