Re: Neighbors Cat Sh**ing on My Balcony

Why so complicated?

This works a treat to keep our cat IN...

Granted, it won't help for the entire garden but you'd at least have your balcony free of cat.

Re: Neighbors Cat Sh**ing on My Balcony

^^
^^I think the neighborhood cats bought one of these and use it as a means of entering my balcony.

I have put a fence now on the side, and it does help, but I am not going to cage myself in on my own balcony by covering the whole thing with a net.

Re: Neighbors Cat Sh**ing on My Balcony

Honestly, the best way to deal with this is to sit on your balcony with a bottle of a very nice wine, enjoy the fine weather, relax...

... and let it go.

I swear cats have a sixth sense - they just know when they are getting under your skin, and riling you up is half the fun. You can't fight Mother Nature - and messing with your mind is a natural feline thing. Gotta love 'em.

Once I stopped caring what the neighborhood cats did in my garden, they suddenly stopped coming round to visit.

Re: Neighbors Cat Sh**ing on My Balcony

Or.....
Do it country style! Sprinkle Cayenne pepper (the red kind) all over the Balcony just before the time the cat normally visits (probably near dusk) PARTICULARLY at the spots where the cat has previously left 'gifts'.

The cat then:

1) Returns to it's default sh****ng location & leaves a deposit

2) As per normal with cats, 'scratches the location around the deposit in a futile attempt to cover it.

3) the paws pick up a little of the cayenne during the scratch.

4) Cat licks paw to clean off the cayenne

5) Voila! 5 minutes of energetic cat dance follows (no permanent damage to cat)

6) Said cat NEVER returns to YOUR balcony at evacuation time!

The above information is posted as a public service announcement. No Felines were injured in the production of this announcement

Re: Neighbors Cat Sh**ing on My Balcony

found a solution from somebody who was having problems with Cats urinating on their property.

Follow the instructions carefully, and enjoy his documented results
