When we got apartment, we didn't have a dog yet, so in application we put "no pets". Now we plan to bring our dog.
In our contract, there's nothing about pets. Our agent told that that whatever isn't prohibited is allowed. He said if the building was dog-free - it would have been mentioned.
I haven't seen any dogs in my building - so I'm not so sure. Our dog is very small. How can one check without directly inquiring from regie?
I don't want to check with the regie company- for several reasons.

The bad news is, you really should check with the regie.

However, if you want to risk their possible wrath, read your tenancy contract and the "house rules". If neither prohibits pets, you should be OK.
