Water lovin cat??

I've had cats all my life, and without fail they've all hated getting wet

Re: Water lovin cat??

I've had cats which have mimicked my behavior over time, two or three of them used to tinkle in the potty, so maybe the one in the video is mimicking the humans by showering?

I also though used to have a cat that would sit at the edge of the tub while I was bathing and dandle his paws in the water and play with the ripples he made (which of course created more ripples).

Not all cats "hate" water... many do "hate" to be forced to do something though, so water on his/her own terms I can see.

Re: Water lovin cat??

My two cats back in the UK were the loopiest creatures I have ever encountered. Among their strange behaviour was their reaction to water. Girl cat used to do the same as Peg's cat and sit on the bathside playing splash whilst I was in there and boy cat used to climb into the bath while I was running it and lounge in it on his back

I can tell you it gave me a fright the first time I got in and nearly sat on the blighter!!!!

Re: Water lovin cat??

My little Tramp used to follow me when I was watering the plants in the garden. She would nibble on my shoes and ask for attention until I did what she wanted: getting the hose pressure lower so she could drink directly from it, and splash around on the water pool that would form from it. My oldest cat had a fascination for the bidet, and would not allows us girls in the house to use the toilet without bothering us with loud meows to get the tap running so she could drink from it like a fountain...

I miss my kitties

Yep, he was the first I thought of when I saw the video, a bit of an "ah ha" thing, thinking (realizing?) that he'd intended to get his head wet in the water instead of simply having a hard time due to his size vs the sink length.

That's too cute. I would love to have a cat but unfortunately I travel too much for that. I have a cat in Buenos Aires that lives with my parents, i miss him!
