Relocating a dog with a docked tail

Hi all
I have only recently become aware that there might be a problem relocating my six year old dog whose tail was docked prior to my ownership. He was a Battersea rescue (we are his third home) and I've no idea why or when he was docked. We have had him for a year and a half. Does anyone have any experience of bringing over similar and what customs formalities I need to complete. Thanks.

Re: Relocating a dog with a docked tail

My dog has a docked tail and was approx 4years old when we came over in 2009. There was no problem with the move and there was no issue at the border nor when I registered the dog.

Re: Relocating a dog with a docked tail

Hi,

We relocated our dog 2 years ago. His tail was docked before we owned him. They did mention it when we picked him up at the airport but I explained it was before we had him and they didn't say anything else. I shouldn't imagine you will have a problem.

Good luck,
Zoe
