| Seeking a temporary home for cat, Sept 2011 to Jan 2012
Very unexpectedly, we are moving back to Ireland in September. They have very strict quarantine rules, which means that even though our lovely cat has a pet passport, she would have to go into quarantine for another 3 months when we arrive. Rather than do that, I want to bring her back in January 2012 when the Irish rules change in line with the rest of the EU.
I am wondering if anyone might be intersted in fostering or looking after her from start of September 2011 to start of January 2012, as I really don't like the idea of her going into a quarantine facility or cattery.
Her name is Bijou. She is a beautiful long-haired mongrel cat. She has a wonderful nature and is very relaxed - we have small children who can be rough sometimes and she's never once snarled or scratched. She is a little bit dim (!) and very lazy. She lies on her back like a dog to be scratched, and always finds the warmest parts of our flat - which often means the middle of the hallway where we tip-toe around her.
On the practical side - she's up to date with all her vaccinations; she's spayed, fully house trained (so can be an indoor or outdoor cat), 7 years old. We're based in Zurich.
If anyone out there is interested in fostering / caring for her, please could you PM me.
