Eutra Lactina lotion - milking of cows

Hi all,

I realize this is a bit of an unusual request, but I thought I'd try in the hope that there are some farmers and breeders among the EFers - obviously no search results using the search function

My uncles on my dad's side own several farms (crops and dairy) and breed animals. My dad used to buy (in Ticino) and send them this special lotion called Eutra Lactina, produced in Switzerland, which is a sterilized lubricating grease for use in hand-milking of cows. My uncles said it was great and used it not only on cows but on sheeps, goats, etc. Now they asked me to buy them some, but I searched the web extensively (Eutra website, google search, etc.) but I can't find any, so I am thinking it might have been discontinued. I found an ad on Ricardo for it, but the sale was closed. I am attaching a picture of what it's supposed to look like.

Since I know absolutely nothing about the topic, if there is any breeder or farmer among you, my question to you is:
  1. Is it still possible to buy this lotion? If so, where could I find it?
  2. If the production has indeed been discontinued, are you aware of (have you used) a good alternative brand or product that I could get for my uncles to try? They swear that this Eutra Lactina is the absolute best.
Thanks in advance and I apologize for the weird question, but we're in the land of cows after all, and I thought I'd try

Lactina is no longer the name, but this is the stuff:

EDIT: sorry, gave you the wrong picture/link. This above is the townie version - hence the word "Cosmetic" and the dinky 250ml tub. Not sure if the formulation is the same or not... here's the one for farmers anyway (which is DEFINITELY the same as your old stuff - they swear the formula for that hasn't changed in 120-odd years):

I'm sure I've seen this (or a similar brand) at Landi. We use something similar for milking our mare just after birth. Pretty sure you can also use vaseline.

Just about any Landi shop will sell this Eutra cream / grease.

(not that this thread has anything at all to do with anything that I know about... just found the title interesting...)

I was trying to find out what this stuff is made of. Do you have it? Does it say on the pot? You don't really want to use vaseline, it's made out of petroleum which is not good for you. Well, I guess you won't get that much in the milk....

ETA: I found that this is made from "highly refined mineral oils" which are basically the same as vaseline.

It might be made from lanolin which is a grease from sheep's wool.

It would be nice, but it's not.
