I am hoping someone can help!! I have moved to Pfäffikon, ZH from the UK and need a dog walker whilst I am at work. The problem is I have no idea where to look for one here?

Also, it seems there is a qualification??

As you have been around long enough and have enough posts, you could put an Ad in the Pet Trading Post. Alternatively, you could check the list of folk offering to 'Board' dogs and cats. Maybe someone in your area doesn't have a dog at the moment and has time on their hands. If you go through posts and 'add the info together', you'll find that members tell you quite a bit about themeselves. Do a bit of hunting and see what you can find. Good luck.

If one is caring for a dog as a favor or in exchange, not for compensation, then there are no qualifications required.

Anyone offering dog care commercially - i.e., for payment - needs to fulfill certain educational requirements, and to be registered with the cantonal Veterinäramt.

This is specified in the TschV.

However, few of the people offering dog care in return for payment whom I have interviewed in my years-long search hold the required qualifications and registration. It is very difficult to find someone who is working in compliance with the law.
