In May, we shipped our 5 year old cat from Frankfurt back to Newark, NJ, USA.

In the end, we went with petshipping.com / Gradlyn Kennels. The total damage was about 410 Euros. We delivered the cat to the FRA airport, but had we allowed them to pick up the cat, the cost would have been at least double what we spent.

We had a very professional experience and would recommend them further.

Just remember:

1. The rabies vaccine must be older than 30 days, but younger than 1 year
2. A health certificate (there is a form in the Swiss or German "pet passport") needs to be less than 10 days old when the pet gets to the final destination.
3. The best airline to send your pets on is Lufthansa - hands down. They have a camera in the cockpit where the pilot can check on what's going on down there!
