I have two 5 month old female cats which need to be neutered soon. Any idea how much this is going to set me back? Any recommendations regarding a good vet in Seefeld area (or in Zürich in general)? Thanx.

I think we were quoted about 150 CHF locally, bound to be more in the smoke. Zurich University has an animal hospital that might do it cheaper, haven't got the contact details to hand as I'm in the UK this week. We took a horse there for some x-rays but there were plenty of smaller animals being looked after

Cheers. I figure that's what it would cost for male cats, however the procedure is more complicated (and hence more expensive) for females. I'll check the uni hospital out.

Thanx for that, to correct my original post: I'm looking for a vet closer to home, I don't want to schlep my kitties all across town. Does anyone know anything in the Seefeld or Hottingen area of Zürich? The phone directory only lists 1 vet in Hottingen, however I'd like a little more choice.

As for castration, I was quoted 350 CHF for my male dog in Zurich city. Sorry, not much help on cats!
