Looking for a new home ( for my pet dog )

I am looking for a home for this dog I rescued back in August. She has been living with me and I love her a lot but because of my work I don't have the time to give her the attention and training she deserves. I live in Turkey but I'm afraid it will be very hard to find a good home for her here because we have many stray dogs and people are generally not positive towards dogs. So because I frequently visit my boyfriend in Zürich I am hoping it will be possible to find a home for this dog in Switzerland.

I've found her at a busy road on 12th August 2011. She was hit by a car, left in the middle of the road with broken arms. It took many hours before I could take her to a veterinarian. She had surgery from legs. She stayed at the veterinary for 30 days with casts and with platinum in her bones. Since she was very young, she recovered very quickly. Now she is as healthy as before and can run. She was spayed on 24th December 2011. She is social, playful. Veterinary says she is one year old.

She used to chew my slippers in the beginning but she learnt quick what she can or can't do. She doesn't bark when left alone at home. She is often anxious outside so she needs patience while walking. She is full of love and she deserves a family where she can give this love to.

She is micro chipped and recently vaccinated against to rabies. The earliest she can travel to Switzerland is on the 22nd of March because there is a waiting period after the vaccination.

I made an album of her pictures:

I have contacted the FVO (Federal Veterinary Office) and asked them for advice. They told me that the new owner should come to Turkey and take the ownership. Or a dog import professional can import her.
Second option seems easier if any of you know a professional or an organisation.

I would appreciate any kind of advise. Would anybody help me to find a home for this girl?

She's beautiful. We adopted our dog from here:

The woman who runs this place is fabulous and she speaks perfect English. I am sure she can help you or tell you what to do.

How funny you've titled the photo album "Adopt Nil".

She'll no doubt be along to comment.

(Our EF Member 'Nil' isn't a dog on the internet, as far as we know, but a woman on the internet)

What a coincidence that one of the languages she speaks is Turkish.
And Nil is a Turkish woman name also There's a small story behind her name. Right after I saw this dog, I was introduced to two girls named Nil in 15 minutes.
With this coincidence and dog being female, I named her Nil. It is a rare name btw.

Re: Looking for a new home ( for my pet dog )

I'm afraid I don't have any contacts in Turkey, but according to a couple of my colleagues, this rescue group in Antalya has a good reputation:

http://www.tierhilfe-antalya.de/
They are a German rescue group, helping street dogs in Antalya.

I know this isn't exactly what you are looking for, but as they are 'boots on the ground' so to speak, you might contact them for help or advice.

FYI, there are more rescue groups in Germany active in helping dogs from other countries than in Switzerland.

Two rescues in Switzerland are:

Animal Happy End, helping dogs mostly from Spain
http://www.animal-happyend.ch/index.php?philosophie

And SOS-Strassenhunde, helping dogs mostly from Italy:
http://www.sos-strassenhunde.ch/go.htm

Neither work in Turkey, but it might be worth your while to contact them for advise anyway.

Wishing your dog all the best - hope she finds a home soon.
