Dyson Pet Groomer Tool - Recommendation

I am not trying to sell one, just to let everyone know that we bought one of these and it is fabulous! It was on special for 59 chf.

Here is the Dyson video.
http://www.dyson.com/Vacuums/Groom.aspx

Have used it on 2 of the three dogs.....the third one is terrified of the vacuum so I am not sure I will be able to get near her.

I want one! It's no fun being 7 months pregnant and cleaning up the house everyday! It should work on a German shepherd. If you don't mind me asking where did u get it from?

We bought it at one of the Coop Megastores. It was a special advertised in a flyer included with the magazine.

In the mall they had a Dyson display. The Dyson rep told us her dog loves it.
On the box it says it won't work with certain models (motorhead) but it is absolutely fine, so I have no idea what they are talking about. It fits on, and I didn't need to use the adapter included in the box.

I MUST get one! Not sure how Tundra will react to the vacuum but she sheds so much that our 11 month old has now taken to eating clumps of hair that he finds..guess he thinks it's part of his normal diet but it's impossible to keep up with the hair falling!

Blast, why can't stores be open on Sundays!

They have a Cat and Dog vacuum, but no brush for pets are sold with it.

Our dogs are shedding a great deal lately, I think it has to do with the heat. Even the parrot is losing a lot of feathers the last few days.

Yeah we have the pet Miele but an attachment would make my life better. Furminator and Hoover it is then for me lol

Re: Dyson Pet Groomer Tool - Recommendation

I'd be really keen to try something like this - but I can't use a slicker brush on the shelties' coats.

Have any of you ever seen something similar with a bristle brush rather than a wire one?

(Yesterday I took out enough fur to knit myself another dog... )

Re: Dyson Pet Groomer Tool - Recommendation

Its a nice attachment but as our pets hide when the vacuum makes an appearance there is no way they will sit still while its on

But i just love our Dyson. Yesterday i hoovered the whole flat in half the time

Re: Dyson Pet Groomer Tool - Recommendation

I seem to have constant fur tumbleweeds rolling through the house... and that's after the daily grooming session.

I think I just answered my own question - found a bristle brush attachment at Meiko:

http://www.meiko.ch/index.cfm?shopar...C7D2F9D7EC74F3

But at CHF 86, that's kind of steep to try on a whim. (I already have cupboards full of expensive 'great ideas' that proved incompatible with the Sheltie Weltanschauung. ) I'll keep looking for something similar in the US or DE, where prices might be a bit more reasonable.

My dog is not a fan of the vacuum so this wouldnt work. For those of you who have a dog like mine I highly recommend the Furminator. http://www.amazon.com/FURminator-deS...p_ob_title_pet

Re: Dyson Pet Groomer Tool - Recommendation

I LOVE Dyson! They always make great stuff.

I am in US now but moving to Zurich soon, I have to sell my Dyson here because of the voltage difference -so sad- but I will definitely buy another one there.

This tool is great as well. Thanks for sharing!
