Re: Requirements For Dog Care Providers

Just bringing this back up as a reminder to those offering dog care, as so many posting ads on EF fail to do this:

When you post your ad, please mention which certificate or qualification (SKN Theory and Practical, FBA, Eid. Tierpfleger) you hold. And please mention your registration with the cantonal Veterinäramt if the service you provide requires it.

And a reminder to newcomers to Switzerland - please verify that anyone you hire to care for your dog is compliant.

There have been reports of dog carers being fined for non-compliance and the dog owners fined for hiring someone working illegally.

Re: Requirements For Dog Care Providers

I have a question on a slightly different subject. A few days ago I was bitten by a dog and I would somehow like to register a complaint. Even after the incident the owner did not put the dog on a leash. Therefore I feel that this will happen again and I need to try to do something to prevent someone else being bitten. I only have the dog's name and breed as the owner would not talk to me. It happened near Nyon, next to the Bois Bougy. I went to the police and they were not interested and then I went to the Salle Communale in Nyon and they said to go to the police. Any advice?

Re: Requirements For Dog Care Providers

Without the name and address of the owner what do you expect anyone to be able to do?
