Maybe it's homesick and pining for the fjords.

PS. I have a Lyre Bird, just to piss the neighbours off - they think I'm using a chainsaw on a Sunday.

In my case, I probably AM using a chain saw on Sunday!

depends if it is your parrot or someone else's.
in case it is not yours, there are some more permanent solutions.

How do you entertain a parrot?

As a kid, I wanted to have a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Hill_Myna
But my parents refused, because they feared the noise (not totally unfounded).
Instead, I got an aquarium and fish.

Are they your parrots? Has a neighbour complained to you? How many are there and what species?

Some species of parrots (for example, cockatoos) are very loud and owners often struggle to find somewhere to live where the noise will be tolerated.

Living in an apartment is definitely a mistake and keeping parrots requires permission by a landlord.

They are incredibly intelligent, and live a very long time.

They must have interaction, a bit of craic.
