SKN Theory course in English 1/8th Mar

Hello,

We're in the process of adopting a dog from the lovely people at Zürcher Tierheim. We have found a lady who will provide the mandatory SKN Theory course in English on either 1st or 8th March. To run this she needs a minimum of 3 people.

Location is close to Irchel Park (Kreis 6) and usually lasts 5 – 6 hours on one day, without dog, theory only) Cost is CHF 200.00 per person (inkl. english documentation, certificate, refreshments, etc.)

Please let me know if anyone is interested in joining on either 1/8th March.

Thanks!

For the ones that know more - would this allow me to work as a certified Pet sitter?? If so, count me in!

To care for up to 5 dogs for payment you need both the SKN Theory course (which is what is being offered here) and the SKN Practical course. The Practical course is done with a dog - if you don't have a dog of your own, you could do the Practical with a client's dog. (A win-win for carer and client...)

(Caring for more than 5 dogs requires one of the professional courses.)

The SKN requirements do not apply if you care for a dog for free, or if you only care for cats or other pets, paid or otherwise.

Do consider taking the courses - there is so much need for reliable, experiences, qualified dog care!

I do not own a dog at the moment, but I had dogs before and I love them. All my friends have dogs! And cats (one has 6 cats...).
Yes, in fact I was talking just about dogs. I watch my neighbour's cats and my other neighbour's birds for free . Love cuddle time!
I would be interested in the practical course also.

@PrincessDuck - Please feel free to ask any question to Patricia, the lady who will run the course directly. Her details are: [removed, please share via PM] and we're also hoping to do the practical courses with her too.

Our preference would be 8th March so we can find enough people to do the course and make it interactive for everyone involved....

FYI this is where we found her and she seems super friendly and nice via email.

Re: SKN Theory course in English 1/8th Mar

I did the practical SKN course with Patricia and we continue to do social works and this next week start "fun" training classes. I would very highly recommend her for any English speakers out there that would like to be involved in doggie things.

She also runs a great website, which has a free and a membership http://www.hundeherz.ch/ which has some great dog advice.
