...... - but 200 per day is actually a very good deal.....
....(I know of one sitter who charges CHF 600 per day - that is, 25 per hour for a 24 hour day.)....
Its an excellent deal compared to the sitter who charges 600 chf/day!!!!

But hey if you want to pay 200 to 600 for Dog sitter No problem...

I see it this way... My dog sitter does me a favor by dog sitting and I do her a favor by giving her money.... yes, 25 chf/day...

Those perhaps, qualified and with experience, minimum salary (from the official Vaud website)

Employée de maison avec formation spécifique (CFC...) et expérience professionnelle:
salaire minimum brut de CHF 22.40 de l'heure
Odile makes a good point here.

The numbers I've been tossing about are assuming that the sitter is duly self-employed (or running a business.)

I have never hired a sitter as my employee - simply because in interviewing many potential sitters, I've found that those who have the innate sense of responsibility I expect tend to be entrepreneurs themselves.

I have no idea how a sitter who is your employee would be paid - I suppose somewhat like a nanny?

You are very fortunate to find someone at that price.

Unfortunately, in my area to find someone working legally with the skills and sense of responsibility I need, CHF 200 is pretty much standard.
