The most useless drawer in my kitchen has now become useful.
I am talking about the drawer fitted with the insert for holding bottles. I never used it and was thinking I could put it to use storing dog food.
We keep the bulky bags (12 - 15kg) downstairs in plastic bins and use smaller tubs (rice keepers from Japan) to transfer the food for daily use. The rice keepers were too big for the bottle drawer and were taking up valuable space in another cupboard.
I looked everywhere and finally found the perfect solution. From Rotho. They have a new line of pet food storage containers.
As we needed 3 bins I bought the 4.5 litre containers. http://www.rothoshop.ch/en/My-Pet/Pe...-5l-white.html
I could not find these containers in any store so I ordered them online. They were delivered with an invoice.
I sawed off the inside wires of the basket for the bottles so the containers fit inside the frame.
I adjusted the height of the little drawer above and in there keep all the dog meds which are given with the food. The dog food scale is not in the photo but it sits between the containers.
