You do know you'll need to do a SKN theory and practical course for dog owners, don't you? It's mandatory unless you can prove to the cantonal vet office that you already have the necessary knowledge/experience. You'll have to do the practical part with each of your dogs. Search "SKN" in the Pet Corner part of the forum, there's plenty of threads there on the subject.
Switzerland is much more regulated than the UK as far as dog ownership is concerned. You'll need to become familiar not only with Vaud canton's rules, but also the commune you end up living in as they can all be different from place to place.
You'll also need to take them to a vet within 10 days of their arrival to be entered into the ANIS database and you also need to register them with your commune and pay a tax for them. https://www.eda.admin.ch/missions/mi...nual-pets.html
