Natural cat trees

Has anyone ever seen a cat tree that sort of looks like this, made of real trees, for sale anywhere in Switzerland or neighbouring countries? I really cannot stand the more commercially made ones. They remind me of ugly living rooms from the 80s.

I could try to make one myself, but I am not that talented when it comes to wood crafts.

I don't know where to find one, but it sure looks much better than the usual ones!!

I would think the tree bit would have to be treated so you don't get bits of bark all over the place.

Thanks. They are gorgeous! But a bit over my price range. The one I posted costs around $350, I think.

But yours is absolutely beautiful. Love the shearling. If I can get enough inspiration, I might try to do something like this.

Reminds me of sweet little mushrooms.

Re: Natural cat trees

Yeah, those from Qualipet are a pricey. Especially if you consider how simple they are. But they look really good.

I can take a photo of mine, if you wish to get some more inspiration. It is a bit different than those from Qualipet.

Re: Natural cat trees

I know what you mean. I hate ugly pet furniture so much. I have made all of my cat scratching posts and climbing trees myself that way they fit into my decor.

You can see my projects here: http://meowlifestyle.com/diy/

Nice cat scratching posts! I think I have a possibility or two! I ended up finding a smaller version of the cat tree at qualipet which was on sale for CHF 300!

It is still not cheap so I hope my kitty will love it when I get her.

Re: Natural cat trees

Oh great!

So I guess you won't need inspiration anymore. Despite this, I promised to show you my cat-tree. Here it is:

I'm sorry it took me ages to post it.

Re: Natural cat trees

My cat simply loves elderberry trees. We have made scratch trees out of branches of such trees and they are a huge success.

Maybe you should try that too?

Not really what you're looking for, but I think they look far better than the standard cat trees. And everything can be washed on high temperatures, so that's a huge plus for me.

She often visits cat-related fairs/expositions in Switzerland too, where you can buy her products.

Thanks! If I get another one, I can definitely take a look because I like the hammocks. But they have other nice cat things too. Must investigate.
