Thunderstorms!

I haven't heard/seen any thunderstorms this year till tonight. Suddenly, Lily the Pup started barking, running around, hiding under my desk, etc, etc. So then we realized it was thunder. Put her thundershirt on her, but we waited too long and she was too wound up.

Fortunately, we are built into a hill and have a keller that runs the length of our flat...we went into the keller and she calmed down pretty fast. I really don't live in a bunker....it just sounds that way!

So anyway, if you have reactive pups....you might want to get your thunderstorm strategies sorted.

Serious response - weighted blankets might help.

Less serious - fuzzy little straight jackets for everyone!

Re: Thunderstorms!

Me to eight year-old daughter - "Did the thunder wake you?"
Eight year-old daughter: "No, you cursing at the thunder woke me."
In my defense, it really was effing loud.
