Dog Supplies- donate

This is a tough message to write.

Our golden retriever (possibly the best dog in the history of the world) passed away a week ago. We have left over food, supplies and some meds.

Is there an animal shelter where I can donate these things?

Re: Dog Supplies- donate

I am so sorry for your loss.

This is where I have taken items for donation. I have taken beds, crates, cages for dogs and birds. I have never taken food or meds so I do not know what their policy is on those items.

Re: Dog Supplies- donate

I am so very sorry.

How kind of you to think of others even at this sad time.

---

Most Tierheim will be happy for any donation; simply call and ask.

In addition to Mrs D's excellent suggestion (Tierrettungsdienst/Tierheim PFötli are wonderful folks), another is the Tierheim my Heffalump came from, Tierheim Surber. They could also likely use anything you have to donate:

Here's a (probably not fully inclusive) list of Tierheim searchable by canton, put together by the Tierdatenbank:

And a list of Tierschutzvereine, also searchable by canton:

Wishing you and your family all the best at this difficult time.

Thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time. Your generous gesture is a reflection of the esteem in which you held, and still hold, your "best friend".
