Tired, stressed & emotional. (Grumpys new foals thread)

Introducing Rheemah. Born early yesterday morning. It's been a stressful 30 odd hours as Mum did not seem happy feeding her so we've been training both mum and foal to work together, and milking mum and bottle feeding the foal every 2 hours since she was born. She's now drinking a little from mum but it'll be another night snatching a little sleep in the stable.

She's just wonderful, like Mum, really playful. This afternoon she was already running around the paddock with mum desperate to keep up. Time to open the champagne!

Here she is just a few hours old...

And enjoying her second day in the sunshine with Mum.

Aah, lovely long legs! Congrats! Are you a little hoarse from a lack of sleep and shouting for joy, GG?

Wow Grumpy, she is just a little darling... Well worth the loss of sleep, especially when they give you a nice nuzzle up like that.

Heart warming... Thanks for the post!

Congratulations, GG! That's wonderful news - well, all except the 30 hours labour and the having to help Mum feed her offspring and that. Luuuv the pointy little ears...

Re: Tired, stressed & emotional. But celebrating a wonderful new arrival!

Congratulations Grumpy!

Wow - she's quite a little stunner, isn't she.

Hope mum and little one continue to do well, and that the midwives have had a chance to recover from the happy event.

(And I hope there will be regular updates on the little one's progress - with more pics, of course. )
