| | | Dog exchange for holidays
Hi
Sorry wasn't really sure what to call this thread but basically I was wondering if anyone fancied doing dog sitting when on holidays etc...?
We don't really want to go down the kennel route as our dog has never been in Kennels as we had no problem getting people to look after her when we were on hols in the UK so I was wondering if anyone else is in the same predicament and would be willing to look after our dog in their home while we are away on holidays and vice versa - we'd look after your dog while you were away - obviously we'd have to meet up and see if our dogs got on OK and as I live in an apartment a dog that barks excessively wouldn't be appropriate but if anyone is interested drop me a PM
Cheers
Nicky

cheers Lob, I'd ask you to look after her but I think your 'dangerous savage dogs' would gobble her up in one sitting
Anyway if anyone wants an incentive to look after her then take a look at how cute she is |

my dogs are lovely. I don't know what you're saying...!
If I was going to do something like this, I would say the winner of my dogs gets to house-sit.....but I have no plans as yet.
edit: the black one looks concerned....can you see the lower-jaw of the brown one?

I'll join in the fun. I have a very sweet and quiet black lab mix (smaller than a normal lab). she really loves little dogs for company, so it might be a good match (probably depending on your little one!). I live in a very good area for dogs, as we have a garden apartment and are right on the edge of the züriberg trails.
If you have specific needs, just PM me and i'll do the same if it's okay.
cheers,
kardyhm.

Hi,
We are also looking for someone preferably in Geneva willing to exchange dog sitting while the other is on holidays. We have a small dog (Cocker Spaniel X Jack Russel) that we brought with us from Australia. He is an inside dog, does not like kennels and needs human company. So if anyone with a small dog, would be willing to look after our dog in their home, while we are away on holidays, we would be happy to return the favour. If anyone is interested, please drop me a PM. Obviously we'd have to meet up and see if our dogs got on OK.
thanks & regards
John

Hi all-
I would defintely be interested in doing this..I hate the thought of leaving my dog in a kennel- the one & only time we did it here I think I traumatized him for life! My husband & I are going on our ski holiday at the end of Feb beginning of March and would need him looked after during that time period. I hope I can work something out with one of you. Thanks for your time and looking forward to hearing back!

Hi
I need a dog sitter for the 17th and 18th Feb, I wonder if anyone would be interested in looking after my pooch and I can return the favour another time?
She's a small easy to look after dog, but she's not too good around boysterous dogs.

Hi Nicky,
Glad to hear you've found someone to 'babysit' your dog whilst you're away in February. However, should you require any help in the future I would be more than happy to oblige.
I adore King Charles Cavaliers, I used to have one a few years ago but alas no more. Unfortunately I do not have a dog a the moment so don't worry about returning the favour, it would be pleasure to help!

| | | [Zurich] Dog-sitting, boarding, etc
Hi!
In 10 days I will be able to say hi from Zurich, but before that there is a matter of worry that I would like to leave behind, hopefully with your help.
We are moving with our two very small dogs. As everyone with pets knows, coming back to the UK is more complicated and airplane cabin travel is almost unheard of.So for the times when we do need to fly back for short visits,we need to find someone to look after our pets.
Do you have any recommendations for dog boarding in Zurich area or up to 1 hour drive to Mannedorf? We have opted in the past for our dogs to stay at someone's house rather than a kennel.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!
Many thanks
Kremena

Hi kremena, could you give a few more details about your dogs, this may help people who would possibly like to have a couple of pooches around for a few days. Myself included.
Cheers |

Kremena,
FYI, from the Männedorf website, there is a dog sitting exchange run by a lady in the village: http://www.maennedorf.ch/de/toolbar/faq/#faq21
I have not used this service myself, but a couple of my neighbors had and were happy. (This was a few years ago, so I don't know if the exchange is still up and running, but it's worth investigating...)

Hi! Ours are two female chihuahuas. One is over a year old and is called Kara. She is very delicate(1.8kg) and timid(afraid of dogs) and loves cuddles and to be in your lap.I used to leave her with a friend of ours who lives in a very quiet flat.On the contrary, our 5 month old girl puppy Iska is boisterous, loves dogs and people. She is a very strong and cheeky puppy. She is equally happy in a busy environment as well as somewhere quiet. When we walk they usually get a lot of attention because of their size.
You can see pics of the puppies here http://www.chihuahua-people.com/show...light=cornwall
If it looks interesting to you, please pm me with some info about you!
Best
