Re: Pet Sitting Network

Just found this thread. I would love to help out anyone with pet sitting. I have my own cute little handful.

Your pet: Topsail
Type of animal: Dog
Breed: Wire haired Fox Terrier
Age of animal: 1 year, 5 months
Animal spayed?: no
Gender: Female

Your environment
House / Apartment?: Apartment within a house
Garden?: Large yard outside (no fence), excellent location for walks
Any other pets?: No
Your location: Bex, les Valentines

Any other information: I'd be happy to pet sit for anyone. My dog Topsail, is a high energy dog and I take lots of walks. I work at home so would never leave a dog alone. The location is perfect for walks, with lots of open space. Topsail likes to play and has never shown any signs of aggression or fear of other dogs. High energy dogs are not a problem at all, it would just add to the entertainment. Feel free to PM me if you need someone.

Oh I can't take cats or other small mammals, my dog might try to eat them

We are looking specifically for someone to watch Boston from the 15th to the 25th of June. She is very laid back but does like to have people around (she is truly a lap dog). She is great with kids and does fine with other dogs. We are happy to return the favor with dogs of similar temperament (as we have a small child).

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hello-I need a person to care for my two (beagle and sheltie) from 12 June to 18 June-I return on 18th. I know last minute, but my wonderful person who has been helping with my pups is not available. I am going to the States for interview, so came up quickly...

We can come to you or you can stay in our house-might be mini holiday as we have large extra master suite as guest room, large patio with view of lake and (finally!) sun. We are in Stäfa...just north of Rapperswil and south of Meilen on the S7-walking distance to train. Lots of beautiful trails behind house.

I am more than happy to return the favor and keep dogs at my house-when I return. If you have any recommendations for Pet/House sitters...please PM me and let me know! I am really needing a person!

Thanks so much!

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Your pet
Type of animal: Ferret
Breed: Alive
Age of animal: 3 years
Animal spayed? yes
Gender: Male

Your environment
House / Apartment?
Apartment
Garden? No- balcony
Any other pets? yes, a dog.
Your location: Aargau, Brugg

So Tobias is his name, and he is an exceptional ferret, which means he is still a ferret. The good news is that he has never bitten a person, doesn't chew cables, and doesn't mind being handled. He also sleeps a lot. The bad news is simply that he is a ferret and does the other things ferrets do, like poop in random corners and steal things. But overall, he's a sweet little fellow, very playful, and really the best of his breed. We are looking for a home for two weeks from July 17-July 30, and can do an introduction.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Would anyone be interested in watching my mini dachshund from July 19th to July 29th? He is 1.5 years old. Very good dog. Loves people. Stays in our flat during the day while we are at work, is fine staying alone as he can go outside when needed.
If this is to long to watch the dog would anyone be interested in going over to the house to check on the dog once or twice a day and make sure he is fed and goes out, etc.
Or would anyone be interested in staying at our flat for the 10 days and watching the dog.
I live in Ennetbaden, a 10 min walk from the Baden Bahnhof.

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hello! My husband and I have just moved to Pampigny, about 10 km from Morges. We are looking for someone to stop by once a day to feed our 13 year old cat and clean his litter box, probably no more than 3 or 4 times per year. The next time we will be traveling is in September for 4 days, in October for 1 week, and in December for 1 week.

We would appreciate any recommendations and contact info. Thank you kindly!

Re: Pet Sitting Network

Hi everyone,

My name is Marie-Julie Put, I am a 22-year old law student in Belgium and currently living in Geneva (Eaux-Vives) to study for the summer here.

I noticed that there is a need for pet sitting at your home or pet care on a non-permanent basis. Until 15th of July, I am available during they day, evenings and if requested, overnight stays to look after your pet, walk/play with your pet, keep it company. I understand that during the holiday season, you want your pet to be cared for in his own territory, with the same level of care you provide.
I would like to help you out with that. I have no official job experience concerning pet sitting, but I have pets of my own at home, share a love for animals in general and understand and/or will adapt your wishes concerning your animal best friend :-).
After the 15th of July, I am still available in the evening.

If anyone is interested or has further questions, please PM me. I will be happy to answer all of your questions.

Sincerely,

Marie-Julie Put

What a beautiful dog. My dog (died year before last) was a pug and they are just the most beautiful dogs. If you ever get really stuck for a dog-sitter and would be happy to pay my fares from Evian (and I'm available) I would love to pug-sit Boston.

I miss my boy
