We've got a big "family:"
- 2 Dogs:

1 Himalayan, male, 8 years old, neutered, loves being around people

1 Congo African Grey, 20 years old, female, interested in people, but unpredictable.

Note: Anyone with a parrot knows that they are temperamental, so there are no absolutes. Might be lovely with visitors, might be devils. Depends on season, hormones, mood, alignment of the planets, whatever! ;-)

Where we Live: Big apartment with shared garden, so dogs always out for walks on leash. Cats and birds always indoors.

Would love to find someone who could trade favor of looking in on pets. Dogs usually travel with us, but we need someone to stop by to feed birds. Or we'd like to fine a place where we might board the birds when we travel. Finding a qualified person who might house sit here in Basel would ideal!

We'd be happy to exchange pet-sitting services. Our cats have stayed with other cats previously already and that worked fine. We're currently looking for a home to our cats for 3.5 weeks from end of March through mid-April. Ideal would be if someone could take them into their house for that time as I think they'll get very lonely and bored if someone just comes once a day to feed them. They're very sociable and curious! Tundra is a total suck who will cuddle with you as long as you keep petting her! She is great with kids (including our 6 month old) but definitely likes calmer environments. Gets along with any non-aggressive dog. She does not do well if any anger is shown towards her - while we don't know her past it is obvious there was abuse and she is the most timid animal that needs to be shown love.

As we tend to go away for a few days every other month with one or two longer trips a year when I can bring my hubby and son with me on work trips, it might be nice to have Tundra spend some time with another dog now that she is missing her little brother.

Happy to puppy sit in exchange with a meeting of the two dogs and if your dog has been around babies and has no aggression issues with little kids.

Any other information: My husband travels a lot and I am not working, so I am happy to care for pets when you travel, but also would like same in exchange. I can come to your pet-if you are not too far away, or would take into my house. My beagle would torment a cat trying to constantly play, so that is probably not a good idea! Both of my dogs take daily medication, just thrown into their food, but otherwise are pretty easy. We would love someone wanting to trade off care-just feeding, visits and walks...as right now it would be a couple days that I am wanting to travel with my husband.

What an excellent idea - we moved to Rapperswil, SG in Mid Feb and are looking for someone who can either pop in and feed our cat if we go away for long weekends or potentially have our cat move in with them for longer breaks. In return I am very happy to feed/walk and house or house visit dogs or cats.

Flat on second floor but more like 1st floor in height. With large balcony and rood terrace. Lots of excellent walks nearby for dogs. In the uk I have had dogs all my life, mainly springer spaniels, flat coat retrievers and shin tzu's but very capable with any breed of dog. Happy to house dogs or cats or drive to your house to look after your pets.
