Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

Some years ago we took our dogs to a vet near Brugg, but he has retired, and his practice has been taken over, and moved to Windisch as of April 2011.

Here are the new details:

Dr. med. vet. Jacqueline Hochstrasser
Dohlenzelgstrasse 23

5210 Windisch

056 441 4166

I have not been there personally but I understand English is not a problem. She is recommended by someone on this website, www.hundi.ch (it is in German and if you can understand German you can see what the locals say...which is always very interesting).

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

This one I found in another Vet thread:

I used to bring my dog to Dr Buchler in Hongg. Dr Buchler is very experienced, extremely professional and a highly skilled surgeon. He did my dog's castration and removal of an extra toe with minimal scarring (in fact, I cant find any!). His details are:

Dr. med. vet. Emil Büchler
Hohenklingenstrasse 45
8049 Zürich
Tel. +41 (0) 44 341 07 07

Good luck!

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

Billy the cat got his pet passport at Paul Kramers Regensbergstrasse 308
8050 Zürich. He speaks English and so do the receptionists.

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

I wanted to add this vet, as I have found her to be very professional and extremely caring of all our animals. We had to go to her when we found out Switzerland does not license our dogs arthritus injections.

She is a one woman band but don't let that put you off

Re: The Vet Thread (Recommendations)

Just took my dog to http://www.kleintierpraxis-baselwest.ch/ yesterday to register him. Had a great experience. Seemed very honest and the two people I spoke with were very good with English. They are located right by the end stop of tram 8.
