Hello. My husband and I live in Riehen and are about to adopt a small dog. We both travel sporadically for work and holidays [although we plan to take the dog with us on the latter as much as possible]. The dog we are considering is a 4 month old mutt who loves other dogs. I am looking for a fellow dog owner/dog lover who would be interested in taking our dog from time to time and leaving their dog with us from time to time. I realize there is a petsitting network on this forum and I left a message there, too, but I'm wondering who might be near us in Riehen. I am a consultant and work from home most days, so I'd be happy to take in a small dog as a playmate for my dog if someone didn't want to leave their dog home alone everyday. I'd be most interested in linking up with others with small dogs.

My boyfriend and I are the proud owners of a friendly and playful 6 month old Dackel. I think that we are probably on opposite sides of the city (we live in the Gundeli area behind the SBB), but perhaps we could have a play date and/or do a pet swap at some point. Our boy is very good with other dogs, especially those around his age. We currently have a friend acting as a dog walker, but it would have been nice to have an alternative when she had an emergency trip this week.

Anyhow, I hope that you and the pup are well and maybe we'll see you wandering around down by the Wiese at some point.
